RAF Comrade Contact policies declare the data they collect in groups (also referred to as "statements"). This policy contains 2 data groups. The data practices of each group will be explained separately.

Group "Basic information"

Registration

Your registration details provide the minimum data requirements for you to become a member of RAF-Comrade-Contact and log onto the site. The details you provide to become a member of the site are: RAF Association Membership number; Service number; email address (which will be your username); password; Christian Name; Surname; Initials; Maiden name; Gender; Country of Residence; Nickname and a Service history plus optional notes about what you are doing now.

We do not ask for any sensitive data. The details you provide are only used to provide other users the chance to make contact with you, and are not used for any marketing purposes whatsoever. All information supplied will remain the property of RAF-Comrade-Contact, part of the RAF Association (RAFA). On submission of the membership form, you agree to accept that your details will be stored securely and excluding your email address, may be processed and displayed on the search page.

Your email address is not released or shown at any stage and is only for the use of the Administrators at RAF-Comrade-Contact. When a user wishes to contact you, the Search form is filled out and should they wish to contact you following this, an email is sent through our internal system to the individual. No personal information, previously provided, is divulged at any time. Should you choose to reply to an internal email from another member, it is at your discretion to divulge any further information about yourself, this specifically relates to your individual email address. Your email address will only be used in accordance with your instruction on the registration form which you are able to change at any stage.

Most areas of the site require that a cookie will be saved to your computer to allow greater access. Should you choose to delete your cookies you can re-login using the username and password box on the login page.
You may have your registration details removed or changed at any time through making direct contact with the RAF-Comrade-Contact administrators.

Site Monitoring

The sites dynamic message boards are regularly monitored and any message that may be considered offensive will be removed immediately.
If likewise, any member comes across as offensive in a message or in members personal notes then please contact us and we will take the necessary action. We reserve the right to remove any message board entries and members from the site.

We also prohibit unauthorised external linking from our content by external programs.
